In the Evaluating your project module, we’ll explore the ways you can capture and disseminate learning from your Empty Spaces to Homes project, paying attention to the environmental, social and economic impact of the project on the community.
Throughout the delivery of an Empty Spaces to Homes project, you and your partners will encounter successes, challenges and key decision points. Each of these provide an opportunity to learn, test new approaches and build your organisational understanding of how to successfully deliver projects. It’s an important, but sometimes overlooked, part of project delivery, but the learning and beneficiary data you capture during and after construction can prove incredibly valuable.
While we hope that your project was successful, you may have had to change course or put a stop to it altogether. There’s still so much to learn from a project whether it succeeds in the way you hoped or had a different result entirely. This section of the toolkit presents an overview of how to capture insights and learning from your project, ways to distribute these within your network or more widely, and some of the less obvious impacts that your project could have beyond the number of homes created.
